Hey all, Ive been burning my own backups for years now using the hotswap method and verbatim disks.
Lately with some of the newer games e.g. SBK08, Force unleashed, and now prince of persia, the burn will work fine until a point. Now Im taking a guess that its crashing has something to do with the disc changing to the 2nd layer as its always in the same spot and usually halfway through the game..
e.g. in prince of persia it only crashes when I try to go to the temple.. original works fine.
Ok, I redid it all using scarface dvd which is 8,500,000 something bytes and it still does the same thing.
I did star wars force unleashed and it works perfectly up until I save Juno, and then it cuts to the cutscene and says the disc is dirty and unreadable while the FMV plays flawlessly in the background. the original plays fine..
well I burnt it on a different computer with a different burner, the burn finished 100% and then had some errors when verifying it. good news is it works!
