I've had my psp fat(1000 series)for about two years. Recently the buttons stopped working after I dropped it. The cost of repair is too much so I was thinking I might as well buy a 2000 or 3000 model.
However, my fat psp has 2gb memory card,ps1 games, snes games and 5.00 cfw. Now:
If I bought a slim psp, could I simply insert my 2gb memory card into the system and have it all there, or would I have to physically take the time to load all my stuff again(ie: redownload roms,find darkalex stuff, get ps1 iso, etc)?

nothing will be changed. the only thing to do is to get custom firmware on the slim.

avoid the 3000 series. they are unflashable. you will have to play a game of luck with the slim and hope you get a 3.95 or lower.
