I'm considering using AnyRegion Changer on my JPN Wii -- is there much risk to it?

Is there anybody out there who followed all the instructions correctly and still ended up bricking their Wii? Conversely, have you used it successfully or heard accounts of other people doing so? I'd prefer to keep using RegionFrii, Brickblocker, etc rather than risk a brick, but if AnyRegion Changer is fairly safe (I understand there are never 100% guarantees) it would make it much more convenient for me to play US games.

Anything else not on the AnyRegion Changer website that I should look out for?
