This has annoyed me :

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7813527.stm

Quote:
The move could potentially spell the end for DRM limited music, which was never popular with users or the record industry.

Mark Mulligan, a director with market analysts Jupiter Research, said the end of DRM - in its current form - was inevitable.

"The only reason it has taken so long is that the record industry has been trying to level the playing field, by giving away DRM free to everyone else, but even that hasn't dented Apple's share," said Mr Mulligan.
Absolute BS.
It annoys me such idiots and crap gets written for the BBC.

BBC Sucks...the DRM on their online news feeds is one of the most obtrusive forms of DRM ever made, and prevents most of the world from being able to view these feeds. Even if you go through the trouble of going around their DRM, they are even more biased than Fox News.

What do you really expect from a state censored compulsory subscription service?

The BBC blew it a couple of years ago when they caved in to government instructions over a state sanctioned murder.. and there has been another one since where the reporting has been very suspect.... Those of us who watch carefully see where they silence themselves when any rights or political sleaze issues come up.

When news media is controlled by the state there can be no impartial viewpoint and no unbiased reporting.
