Been helping out my nephew with his xbox 360 red rings. Hes got the benq version and its been flashed, but not by me. Anyways, the rrod fix worked flawlessly for a couple of months and tonight it happened to him again. Its sitting here all apart and i've gone through it with a fine tooth comb, even as far as replacing all the nylon washers and screws and running out for more artic silver. I still get the rrod. Ive read something about the non lead solder joints coming loose so i was thinking of carefully trying a heatgun on it tomorrow. Any other suggestion? If all fails and i run out tomorrow and buy him an arcade version, im sure it will have a liteon drive, any chance of using his flashed benq in it? if not, where can i get his new drive flashed? Any help would be appreciated.
