I need help with d/l speeds

I just d/l owvernet last night. I have no idea what I am doing lol. I tried d/l some things, mostly games. I have DSL and I'm getting less than 5k !!!!!!!!!!!!

Now at first I figured well its cause there isn't many of that file out there, of course this was wrong, then i thought well maybeyou don't get that fast d/l, wrong agian I have ppl getting 10 from me.

I then found/read the guide on how to fix this. It didn't help me at all, I need some who can tell me (a person who doesn't know what the heck they are doing) how to fix this to where I can get the most speed out of my Overnet.

Also, I can't seem to figure out how to selecte which files I want to share, it just seems to want me to share all of them. I want to cut off the incomplete ones but i can't figure out how.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

BTW I don't think I have a router......just recently upgraded from 56k so I also don't know much about DSL.
