Hello everybody,
I have a slim Playstation 2 with no possibility to attach a Hard Drive. I would like to configure a server Windows or Linux where I could store my games as ISO and boot games from server through switch.

Does anybody has any idea how can this be realized?

as far as i know, there is no way to play iso over network. there is no network iso loader.

your resort is to get a copy of usbadvanced, and use a usb external hard drive. it has the lowest game compatability of all hdd loaders, but it's the only thing for most slims; v12 and v13 slims can use hdcombo and hdloader.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

thanks for your reply cee43ja1

I have tried the solution that you explained but since PS2 USB ports are 1.1 many games do not work.

I still belive that there must be a solution with game server :)

IT Experts,

what do you think about configuring a server with following roles

1. File Server - to store ISO images of games
2. TFTP Server
3. DHCP Server - To distribute Network Configuration with Scope Option 150 for TFTP where from a configuration file will be distributed to clients which request network configuration from this server

For start my idea looks very good to me :)))

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
