Just bought a wii. The Wii has a RVL-001(EUR) model number and the serial number is LEH239. The fw is 3.4e.

Can I used the twilight hack or am I gunna need a modchip?

You haven't looked around very much, have you? Any wii, any firmware version can be softmodded.

If you prefer a modchip you can check what chipset you have here http://www.wiidrives.com/list But be aware that in the last 2 weeks or so there has been a new chipset. The D3 or sometimes called the D2NOTHING because it lacks the drivechip that all previous modchips attached to. I dont think any modchips support it yet, but D2Pro claims to be near a solution.

Yeah I've looked round a lot and one poster mentioned checking the serial number which I did via wiidrives and I kinda panicked because it wasnt there.
