Hi, first post here after reading for a few months. Great info, programs, help, tutorials, ... .

OK, for my first post I am interested in learning how newsgroups work. I know the basics and have downloaded the trial version of "NewsBin Pro Version 4.0" and have followed all instructions to the best of my ability. I put in my ISP's news group name and still no luck.

Are any other programs better then this one(preferably free) and has anyone had success with newsgroups? what about the RIAA and others? Are they hounding newsgroups like Kazaa, Morpheus, et al.? Any hints or instructions would be great.

P.S. Are there better file sharing programs that aren't like Kazaa, Napster(old one), and the like that YOU recommend? I am not an expert user but also not a newbie when it comes to downloading. Thanks...
