HI,

Can anyone tell me how I find out if a DVD I have been sent is sourced from a VCD? I have tried analysing it in Gspot but I don't really know what the jargon means and so can't tell whether it is conclusive either way.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Very hard to say by looking at gspot - unless the mpeg 1
has been authored directly onto the dvd, which is apparently
a part of the dvd spec. Another possibility is that mpeg 1 has been
re-sized and re-authored for DVD. The biggest clue would be poor
picture quality. What does GSpot actually say? Post the image here.
