Can you burn 360 games with verbatim 8x DVD+R DLs?

I've wasted 4 discs trying to burn this one game. Im using Verbatim DVD+R DL. I initially tried buring the 360 game with ImgBurn but it just closed down all of a sudden whilst burning. I then tried clone CD but using DVD Info Pro wouldnt allow me to booktype my drive. So I haave tried again with ImgBurn (which is booktyped to DVD-ROM btw). I tried another burn (at 2x write speed) but it closed down again just in the menu this time, I wasnt even burning. So I uninstalled ImgBurn and installed an older version to see if it would fix the problem. No such luck another 2 burns later and they have all closed down during burning.

Can anyone help please?? I would really appreciate it.

I realise that you have to write 360 games at 2.4x speed or lower and I am choosing 2x speed however, do I have to buy Verbatims 2.4x because I have bought a 10 pack that are 8x which I wouldn't of thought would make a difference however whenever I try to burn it doesnt work.

I only use 8x disc at 4x speed. In the past I used 2.4x disc at still 4x speed. Those games work still. I love my 8x disc, NEVER had an issue and like I said burn at 4x w/set layer break using IMG burn. In my 3 years of making my games I have never had a problem burning 2 games at once and NOT running anything in the back ground.

i've burned some games at like 6x and never had issues. Sounds like something is weird with your setup
