Pioneer has introduced a set of new Blu-ray players at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The trio includes players from various price groups to attract wider range of customers. The cheapest is the BDP-120 at under $300 and the priciest the BDP-23FD which will retail for approximately $600.

Less than $300 means $299 likely. Do they really think that in this economy, high price Blu-Ray players is whats gonna really make the format pick up steam?

For Pioneer, $300 is cheap for a blu-ray, especially since some of their players have cost over $1000.
Yes, the prices are still expensive, especially in the state of this economy, but a BD 2.0 player, with 48-bit Deep Color, and for under $400 is a steal compared to some other players.
