Just purchased the samsung kreon drive (versionB) using sata but it does come with any wires or instruction so anyone know how i can hook it up either to pc desktop pc or laptop?

I can see the ide connectors but i bought the sata version so i dont see where to plug it in on the motherboard. But yes that is correct.

I found out that i need a sata to ide converter and a power cable. Its very annoying that i paid 50$ for the drive and now i just spent another 30. I should just quit because the whole process of flashing my 360 and creating backups has caused me money, many hours, and a large headache.

think of it this way dude the money u have spent will be made up for when u get 3-4 games for free? at 60 bucks each that comes out to like 180-240 dollars. so someone that has gotten 20 games has just saved themselves ummm $1200.....get my point, u will thank urself when its all said and done. but really it is your fault for not buying a ide drive isnt it/ or making sure u had a sata port?... oh and it might be cheaper or more beneficial to buy a external enclosure for that sata kreon drive, cause that will let u plug it in via usb port. it will cost more maybe than the adapter u mentioned but it is easier to have an external drive u can take with u wherever and use with a laptop :)

yea once i actually taste success, it will be nice. When u say free im guessing you mean downloaded games but how do you get the ss's and all u need for the burn to work? Will it be simple once i get the kreon because when i tried before it was with a different drive.

he didnt mean free via download, bc if you download them, then you dont need the kreon drive. he probably meant free by renting them, and then copying them.

Ok, i tried to burn the backup and it said something about only wrting on sector 0, not using sector 1 but it completed successfully. Then when i put it in my 360 it read as a mixed media disk. I dont know what i did wrong? When i flashed my 360 i used an older ixtreme but it was successful. So do i need a newer version? Or is it that my drive does correctly read dual layer disks? Any help would be appreciated.

nevermind somehow i actually did it. i now know this creating backups thing is not a myth. i am the greatest human being alive.

what version ixtreme?
