What would cause a failed conversion to RMVB?

I'm trying to convert some movies I have to RMVB format to save space on my hard drive using Easy Realmedia Producer 1.94.

Some movies have failed though. What could be the reason (or reasons) that could be?

I'll gladly post any information you need starting with my codecs:

-Xvid Codec
-WMV9 VCM
-CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack)
-Standard Windows codes
-Real Alternative
-VobSub (If this could be considered a codec)
-AC3 Audio filter

EDIT: I thought I found the problem but apparently it's something else.

What I thought the problem was, was due to the fact that the video was encoded in WMV3 so, using VirtualDubMod, I re-encoded it to an XVID AVI file and tried again to no avail.
