Hello all, i am having a problem with this movie that i've not had before. I used AnyDVD to rip it to the hard drive then dvd shrink, it backs up just fine. I am getting burn errors, nero won't burn it, getting a failure error. Imageburn won't burn it either, i get a incompatible format error. Has anyone else had this problem?

You're getting an illegal disc error - that usually means the drives firmware does not support the media you are using.
The drive is a bit on the old side for drive years - the last firmware update was 4/05. You have the latest.
The media you are using looks like 16x - it's also made by Moser Baer - not the best. Without a newer firmware this media is will be hit or miss at best.
Media to use Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

I would motor over to newegg.com and find myself an uptodate 20X burner. With your old firmware it may have trouble recognizing any newer dvds. The egg has burners for under $30 shipped.

thanks guys, hmm... that's strange, just before i tried cinderella 3 released in 2007, i did little mermaid "ariel's beginning" which has just been recently released. i had some trouble backing up little mermaid but it burned just fine after i updated AnyDVD and ran it through shrink. I actually have new lite-on burners in a new machine i built a few months ago. However, i am runnning a linux OS distro with it, linux just doesn't have any software that i've found yet that will even back up these disney movies. thanks a lot for all the suggestions.

It might not be a bad idea to pop one of those drives in this pc
or like garmoon suggested pick up an new burner. newegg.com is tops if in the US.
If you are in the US check out supermediastore for Taiyo Yuden.
Oh and no problemo on the help. Wish I could give you suggestions on rippers for Linux that handle the latest copy protection but I have yet to even try any linux distro.
