Hi guys.i just got a digivox to setup for the parents, already have a setup using built in "freeview" tuner and a diablo in ci slot of tv , which gives great quality, problem is the picture quality on the digivox seems so bab compared to my setup, just wondering is it the digivox i got or is the quality of the digivox sub standard. ive patched it using v3300 tried all settings in digovox still same not great picture quality,im using high quality ofc hitachi scart and all connections are sound, Question is, is the tuner of the digivox not great ?? or is it the patch?? and any1 know how to improve it.or is it my panasonic 32" lcd 100hz tv/tuner and diablo conbo just leagues above all these boxes ???

Try switching to a different scart socket on TV.

hi guys. yea i have tried both scart sockets on tv and on digivox and also tried s-video and coax ouputs on digivox still not a great quality. the tv also seems to have to stretch the picture to fill the screen top and bottom when its set to auto as when its set to 16:9 aspect ratio there are the 2 black bars top and bottom. i have it set to 16:9 in digivox. the terrestrial channels are even worse then from my analogue aerial.
even the user menu is blury also it looks very childish/cheap looking being pinkish with stars and half moons,or do i have the right 1 loaded ?

hi cactikid, thanks for advice about menu but everytime you change channel or use epg its there so its used a fair bit, also im setting up the stb here first at my setup which is perfect ie downconverter/aerial..and of course you need a downconverter but a analogue and digital mmds aerial is the same thing...as i said in first post maybe its just me being used to such a perfect quality from the panasonic tuner which gives 100% on both signal strength and signal quality and the digivox only getting about 80%-85% maybe it will look ok on parents lcd tv and sure there half blind anyway.lol but still in 2 minds about sending it back and trying to get another 1 or try the eurovox-T instead as just have a ex5000 pvr here trying to patch it for a friend and the menu looks way better
