Can you help me with settings and configuration of using "DivX" please?

I have a LCD TV which can watch movies up to 1080p. And a DVD player that can play DivX videos.

My problem is when i convert DVD to AVI and play it in the DVD player, the output video is not full screen. I selected 16:9 ratio, but when i play the AVI video it does not full screen.

The DVD Ripper i used was AoA DVD Ripper and the default AVI resolution settings was 720by480. Every settings was on default.



Can you help me with the settings and configuration of using "DivX" please? I want to convert DVD to AVI and be able to watch in full 720p or 1080p. Full screen.



Example:

Under "settings" AVI video codec;

*DivX 6.8.5 codec [logical cpu]-----> configure;

- Encoding presets:

1<---->10 = Which number do i select?


- Rate control:
. 1-pass quality based
. 1 pass
. multipass, 1st pass
. multipass, nth pass
. multipass, 1st pass (fast)

Which one do i select?



- Video resolution ---> format in;
. square pixels
. pal 4:3
. pal 16:9
. custom


- video resolution ----> format out;
. square pixels
. pal 4:3
. pal 16:9
. custom

Use AutoGK instead. If the input is 16x9 it will create .avi that will show on your stand-alone player in 16x9 mode. It analyzes the video and does all the settings for you. If you are satisfied with one pass conversion select the quality percentage. If you want higher quality with smaller size 2 pass mode, select one of the size options.

afaik the adware has been removed from the latest versions.
