Okay, i'm new to this forum but i've read through loads of topics but i couldn't find an answer. They all seemed to apply to putting DVD's onto your PC, rather than the PC files onto a DVD. Anyway.
I have an application on my PC in .ISO format. I've burnt it onto DVDRW and it all works great, autoplay and everything. Problem is, i'm worried about people copying it or something. I want them to be able to use it, install it, return the disc to me, and then use it. (The application doesn't require the disc to run)
I know i can "Finalize" the disc so that no more writing can be done on it, but is there any way I can copy-protect it?
I'm currently using Nero8 but am up for downloading any new software if you advise.
Yeh i dont mean like so its unbreakable.
Just some fairly simple stuff that stop people nicking it very easily.
Also, as regards to burning an ISO onto a DVD, i'm guessing somebody would NOT be able to simply drag and drop (or rip) the files from the disc onto the HD and have it all working without the need for the disc?
It only works with certain drives and how good it is & if it fits you needs - not really sure - but might be worth looking into.
To you last question - probably. They might just need to mount it to a virtual drive.
But if this is not an open source app or something you hold more than a user license on - like you hold the copyright you can't really share it.
