W/O the model numbers on the I/O or Memorex I'm thinking they are on the older side. I don't think either one sell burners anymore.
For the laptops you'll need to check the laptop manufacturers site for any firmware updates.
Ritek is newer to the market dual layer media so with older drives it's doubtful it will work.
For your drives look for Verbatim dual layers rated no higher then 4x - there was a change in the way that higher rated dual layer media was made that older drives may not be able to handle.
To find the model of the drives one way is to just double click on 'my computer' then right click on any of the drives & pick properties. Go to hardware tab and they'll be listed there.
