Hi, it's been awhile since I've tried grabbing anything for the ps2. It wasn't worth my time anymore. It might be now, but I've got some technical hurdles to figure out in a minimum amount of time.

This's more of an extension of the previous thread that has been close off to me in terms of replying:

Here's my basic question:

Alot of games for ps2 have now been posted as ISO's. That's all well and good.

I have Toast 8.04 on a mac.

1) Is there any particular naming convention I need to use on the ISO itself?

e.g. the ISO is called killzone.iso. Do I need to rename it in all caps or does it not matter what it is?

2) I tried simply burning the ISO using the COPY --> "Select Image File" option. That didn't work when I tried popping into the flip-cover ps2 and either swap magic or HD Advance. In both cases it was indicated that the disk was unreadable.

I'll try the ISO 9660 option but please let me know what the correct method is if you already know.

3) Do I need updated versions of HD Advance or Swap Magic if I'm desiring to try out either

killzone or

Yakuza 2?

Any advice on how to backup these ISO's is appreciated. Thanks!

Woops....ISO 9660 can't even be selected as an option for dvd-burning.

That method should have worked.
Or you can try renaming your "iso" extension to "dmg" and mount the image and use the Mac Disk Utility to burn it.
I think the ISO 9660 is only found when you select "data" in Toast
What brand of discs are burning on? and are they DVD-R or DVD+R

Do Original PS2 games play fine in your PS2, cause maybe your laser needs cleaning.

Yakuza 2 plays fine on the HDD using winhiip 1.7.6 to copy it over.
Its a DVD9 game so Swap magic won't play it, unless you have converted it from DVD9 to DVD5

What version Swap Magic do you have? I don't have Killzone but Swap Magic 3.6 should play it just fine.
