blank umd don't exist to the consumer. and unless you know how to digitally sign the files, which non sony employees don't know how, a umd writer is useless.

one thing i want to know, is how your friends got a umd writer. post pics or it doesn't exist.

besides, custom firmware is way better on the psp.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Very strange!

Why would the military be writing to blank umd's? It's a proprietary format used exclusively by Sony for psp.

Hmm.

you can buy them in china, they got a hack umd over there too, where you can switch the umd with the official one and that hack umd have passes all your umd with the correct signature.

You got a link to where you can buy these blank umds?

And any more info on the hack umds? I didn't think swapping umds "live" would work - I thought this only a goer in the old days of the PSX.
