And this is the reason why we say READ READ READ before you start to ATTEMPT to mod your 360. No key = no solution. Like the previous poster said, GO buy a NEW 360.

Xtreme bootmaker doesn't do anything with keys. Its just a tool to format a bootdisk.

Use Firmtool on the original FW that has a valid key (if you still have it anyway). You can also use FW toolbox 4.8 to copy a key from one FW to another.

Also with the Infectus2 chip, I thought you needed a working DVD drive and an exploitable kernel so you can boot the King Kong disc and then get the key from the CPU keyvault. Maybe it's different now, I dunno.

I have never seen a tut that says to write/flash before dumping your original FW.

Thats why I always liked mtkflash and samtool, you had to dump your original firmware or else you couldnt make a hacked firmware to flash in the first place.

mtkflash for Samsungs, FW Toolbox for Hitachis and dosflash 1.3 for BENQ's :)

Just because a software is newer doesn't mean it's better ;)
