Hey there,
I have a couple of hard drive questions I was hoping to answer.
I have a modded fat NTSCPS2 (model# SCPH-50010/N Date code 3C).
I don't know anything about the make/model of mod chip as I have never taken the case apart (got it as a gift) I do know that when I burn backups of games I own using DVDdecrypter, all I have to do is... eject the tray, insert backup of game, turn the PS2 off/on, press reset and the tray goes in and game loads (sometimes you have to do that process a couple of times ;~)
I also have an Hdd Network Adapter (model#SCPH-10281 Date code 3C) on my PS2, a SEAGATEIDE 4GB hard drive (in my hand) and 2x standard PS2 8Mb memory cards.
First I would like to know how to/if I can install the hard drive to basically act as another memory card?
Second when I get my 40GB hard drive, what would I need and how would I go about filling it with games (backups of MY games) so I don't need to use the DVD's anymore?
Any help/info is greatly appreciated.
I am not totally a newbie but step by step instructions are always appreciated ;~)
Thanx in advance

1. no, to an extent. no, you cannot directly save to the memory card. you can only view the HDD in the ps2 browser if 1) you use the official sony hdd, or 2) have a DMS modchip. otherwise, the hard drive won't be recognized by the ps2.
2. you will need hdloader. since you have a modchip, you could just burn a iso and run it.
1)how can I find out if my modchip is a DMS?
2)I found/now have HD loader 0.8b++ ISO files (PALCD, PALDVD, NTSC CD and NTSC DVD) I assume next step is to burn each to disc, format my IDE drive and then try them both in the PS2?
