I downloaded utorrent,downloaded wiavi, and downloaded a movie torrent from mininova. I triedd to convert the file ino an .avi file but winavi does not recogize this the type of file that i am trying to convert because the File type is TORRENT FILE. I can't evan play it on any media player. Is there a way to get it from TORRENT FILE to .avi,mpeg..mov.etc...? Any help would be greatly appreciated because I have wasted a lot of time on this. Thank You

What size is this torrent file, it sound's as if it's the file you open in utorrent to download the actual torrent?

I agree with mistycat. Torrent files do not contain movies of music. They contain information that will allow you to download something. You need to open that file with a torrent client. That will be a much longer process than downloading the torrent.

Torrents are more complicated than Lime Wire.

How long did it take you to download the file?
