Which PS2 mod chip is this?

Hey there,
Kinda silly really, I have a modded fat PS2

NTSC model# SCPH-50010/N Date 3C
Version 9 (GH-023 board)
ser#FU3893100 (8 screws onbottom and electrical warning)
Browser 1.40
CD player 2.00
Playstation driver 1.11
DVD player 3.00
I don't know anything about the make/model of mod chip as I have never taken the case apart (got it as a gift) I do know that when I burn backups of games I own using DVDdecrypter, all I have to do is... eject the tray, insert backup of game, turn the PS2 off/on, press reset and the tray goes in and game loads (sometimes you have to do that process a couple of times ;~)
I also know that the chip is at least 4 years old
I would like to determine which model I have in order to set up and use HDloader etc. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/739340 and I really don't want to dismantle the whole thing (if it ain't broke, don't fix it) so I was wondering if anyone could maybe help narrow down the options?
Any tips?
Oh ya, and also; do all mod chips play both NTSC and PAL releases?
