Well im trying to flash my lite on drive but i get a error bc=0 on xtractor reader it detects my drive but doesnt get the key im guessing its because the driver for the xtractor arent installed but i installed them manually as you can c here is my device manager

so you installed usb driver? If you open extractor reader 2.7, does it say that it detects your xtractor?

mac_lova.... where in your device manager does it show the xtractor drivers? I see the portIO and a composite usb device but where is the serial port to usb driver? click on ports and look for it there. remember there is more than one set of drivers to install, the port32IO and the usb drivers for xtractor. once you add them and plug in your xtractor windows will PnP add new hardware, twice for the xtractor then return to device manager and click ports, you should see a new com port.

Well I have the xtractor on but as you can see my pc doesn't detect the xtractor and does the xtractor reader is suppose to detect the xtractor can you please post a pic of your device manager and when xtractor reader detects the xtractor

I cannot post a pic now, I am not at that computer and may not be until this weekend. Anyhow... did you use an .exe installer to install the "CDM" drivers? (keep in mind, the CDM drivers are NOT the portIO drivers) If yes then the port will show up under "ports" in device manager. If you did not use a self installer then delete any other usb to serial port legacy emulator that you have. Restart pc. Disconnect from internet. Plug in xtractor and power on. Windows add new hardware will ask if you want to search the internet. Say no. Then click advanced or have disk what ever lets you select from a specific place. Then point to the CDM .inf file. And away it goes.

I used the self installer and the add new hardware pop up doesn't appear when I power it up could it be the xtractor reader because I remember when I first connected it did give me that message but some smoke came out of the xtractor could it be messed up

if smoke came out of the xtractor then it is DONE... never to live again. unless of course you can get the smoke back into the extractor but that requires a mahoney bar, knifilin pin, and some headlight fluid.
