This movie was very easy to do. I thought about just using dvdfab on this one, but decided to stick with the steps.

Dvdfab > fixvts > dvd shrink > imgburn.

On a side note, this was the last movie I purchased this month till I get a new laptop. No excess spending till I can get a new one.

I actually had a few issues with my back-up on this one. DVDFab seemed to rip fine, however it did take quiet a bit longer than usual, almost 30 min compared to the usual of around 15. I didn't notice any problems when I previewed my work on the pc, but when I began playback on my standalone I noticed some pixelation and brief pauses at the beginning. I haven't had the opportunity to go through it again to check anything else. It could easily be over-manipulation on my part when I ran it through VobBlanker.

Hi Ferg,

may I (ok endo too) suggest ripping the movie to the hard drive with anydvd (we saw that you purchased it) using the anydvd ripper alone ?
This might help your pixellation problem.

Thank you (both) for the suggestion. I actually have done that already, but have not had the opportunity to preview the outcome.

I (we ) think over time you will appreciate anydvd over dvdfab.

I don't know if I would go so far as to say that, I am pretty fond of DVDFab Platinum. I do like AnyDVD though and am happy to have purchased the program.

Hey Ferg, what was your Path Player set to when you ripped with DvdFab Platinum? Just out of curiousity.

Try ripping it again with Path Player turned off.

FYI: the recommended setting for Path Player, as far as i know, is Enable When Necessary

Hi Ferg,

endo says he will eat steak only for a week if you will try to like anyvdvd more than dvdfab (I think I'm being taken for a ride on this one !)

No offense to you Jo, as you are definitely easier on the eyes, but are Endo's poor little fingers broke? Or does he simply choose to not interact with me?
Where has he been, you holding him hostage?
Anyway, not sure if I can make the kind of commitment he asks for. Even in the name of beef. He sure is asking alot. I will have to thank it over.
BTW: There does not appear to be any issues with the AnyDVD rip, however as I did not preview the Fab output until I had already made changes to it through VobBlanker, I am not sure there was a problem with the initial rip there either. As rtm stated in his post that he had no issues. It could have also been due to having pathplayer enabled as 7th suggested. Not sure, but as always appreciate everyone's help :)

I have pathplayer enabled when necessary. I had trouble ripping The Family That Preys, until I noticed I had pathplayer enabled. Once I changed the settings, it ripped perfectly.

I believe Jo is keeping endo in line with her bullwhip. We all know how he likes to keep himself....UP on the latest techniques!!

*Mods apologies for being off topic*

ArchBishop Ferg, THE WOMAN is punishing me :(
She says I have to work and no aD time (too much goofing around)
She says her birthday is coming up and a Louis Vuitton accessory kit is necessary (whatever that is ? I know it is expensive !). So off I go to work, pillaging and plundering.

endo (I was last seen in the Saw V thread)

and yes, my gal bryston is very easy on the eyes (but not so on the pocket book)

Back on topic, So what was the question ?
