I have some vob's that I've had on dvd5's, all of the vob's being related to a particular subject, but separate. To clean up clutter, I've used DVDshrink to fit 7 vob's from 2 disks, onto 1 DVD9, and saved the files on my HD as a video_ts folder. Each vob is separate, as in an episode. Before burning, I would like to add a menu for the dvd9, so I can play any of the 7 "episode" vob's at my choosing. Is there a prog that will do this without having to re-encode the disk again, that Dvdshrink made? Suggestions, and hopefully freeware? If not what would be suggestions for a paid prog? Thanks.

If the files are saved as separate titles (VTS_01 VTS_02 VTS_03) then use VOB2MPG to convert each title to an mpeg-2 file.

Using DVD Flick, load each title and elect to make a menu.
The Project Settings should be set to reflect the target disk size.
Also the 'Video' > 'Advanced' setting should be checked to 'Copy MPEG-2 Streams' - this ensures that the source is not re-encoded.

The same procedure can be used with Nero if Smart Encoding is set.

Thanks Attar. Sorry for the late reply. I use Flick here and there for some vid files. Most times it's OK, but won't work putting more that 6 vid files to disk. I can easily fit 7-8 on a dual layer. With the costs of dl's here, I was trying to fit the most I could with no wasted space. I find that's the only thing I don't like with Flick.

I've now tried out vob2mpg for general stuff. Pretty good prog. Thanks for the tip.
