I have looked around and I am still trying to figure out what stealth means. I have a modded Xbox 360. I know enough to download an iso and use XDVDMulleterBeta8 to make a .dvd file then burn to disc and play. I was told I won't have a problem playing online (though I have not hooked it up online yet). But I came across a game that I have the option of downloading the iso file or the stealth file. what is the difference.

thanx in advance.

stealth files make sure that its read as almost an exact copy of the game, its thought that stealth checking is how the bans happened the first time around back in 2007. basically your xbox does checks on the disc to make sure its a legit copy of the game and not a burned one, and when those files are missing then it throws a code thats stored somewhere and sent to xbox live once you connect. or so thats what people think...

ok but when I use XDVDMulleterBeta8 to make the .dvd file it has a box that is checked and says "security sector present" is that telling me I'm ok if it goes through no problem.

it has check marks on

-Video partition present
-Video Data Present
-Security Sector present
-PFI present
-DMI present
-Xtreme Compatible

So if it goes though and makes the .dvd file then I should be fine for online play.

But then why on this game download does it give option of "iso" or "stealth" or is "stealth" a type of file.

yea Im a noob at 360.....lol

semi-hijack thread, but if I make my own backups from physical orginial game discs is stealthing still necessary? If so could I just use the "Idiots Guide for Stealthing" in the rules? I use a Kreon Drive and XBC to rip the game.
