Hide IP Address Program- Unistalled downloading now slow!

Hey Guys!

I recently installed a HideIP program, i then realised that i didnt need it, so i unistalled it. Downloads were running upwards of 100KB/s now around the 20 mark.

Can anyone tell me why this is? and how to fix it!

Any help would be awesome!

Why do you not need it? If you are running torrents you should always run something like peer guardian, in my opinion.

You should always run a ip hiding program as evastar said.
As for the speeds your getting, the upload speed of the seeders has alot to do with it.
Also check your max d/l speeds in your setings.

Maybe an 'unfriendly' kicked you in the slats when you dropped your guard. The cyber police are shifting gears. Litigation has been ineffective in stopping or reducing P2P activity. What has been very effective is cyber warfare. Software that are like attack robots seek and disrupt P2P activity. It is like scifi. They seek out P2P activity and wage war. They can slow down or disrupt P2P activity. It is often better to slow down the activity because most users don't do anything for a slow down but will take action if nothing is downloading.

When you stopped hiding your IP address, something sent you a 'present'.

What app were you using? It sounds like it was effective.
