...I'm confused. I have all events beaten except for 2 burning routes. I have no more rivals to win. Yet, it says that I only have 74 or 75 cars out of 84. I have about 75% of the trophies (only ones left are lame freeburn ones. Apparantly I'm only 75-80% done with the game. But what else is there to do? I completed the bike pack and have all the bikes. I punched in the codes for the "extra cars."

Sincerely,
confused in Paradise City :P

Might be something to do with new DLC, being a party pack and new cars (Delorian off back to the future)!
I kid you not.

Maybe. But this has been the case for over a couple of months now. how much I had completed and how much I had left to do just didn't add up. And now that I'm in the home stretch, it's really odd.

The DLC seems pretty lame. Paying for a feature that should have been in the original game (local multipplayer) is absurd. Paying for new cars just for the heck of it is really not my thing (I can't imagine getting bored with the 80+ cars they already provide, even if half of them are just upgrades to the regular ones). They're also going to have toy cars or something. If new cars were to be released with an actual expansion (like an island) then that would be different. I believe they are coming out with a new island, or so I've read.

Overall, I give the devs 4 out of 5 for the amount of work they've put into it and what they've given us so far, and for the fact that I think it's a solid product. But going forward, I'm not sure if I'm right there with them anymore.

Bring back traffic attack!! Their version of traffic attack, where you bounce around smashing cars, wears off fast. There's nothing like driving at full speed and being able to smash into every car in sight for points. That's what had me hooked to Revenge.

You don't pay for DLC, it's all free. I've heard about the new island too.

According to the Criterion website, the new DLC this year is "premium." There is no word on it being free. So there will be a cost to it. Probably between $15 and $20 is what people are speculating.

I just got the license last night, and have the option of making my car gold, but I still have only 78 out of 83 cars. I'm thinking that maybe I have to do showtimes records on every road or something, because I only have 13 out of 64. There are 5 more cars left to get and the dood who talks to you (DJ whats-his-face) said to keep working at getting the ultimate cars or something.

Has anyone who has their Elite License verify what is next? I don't want to waste time driving around trying to complete cheesy objectives.

Have you shut down all cars? Have a look at your stats in the game and see if you have any cars waiting to be shutdown.

Yup...all cars shut down....all burning routes completed. All sponsor cars obtained. And it still says 5 more cars can be won, but the way it was worded, it sounded like they were "special" cars and that I have to keep playing to get them. And I'm pretty sure it's not part of the new upcoming packs. Because as I mentioned above, I've seen about a 5-car discrepancy for a couple of months now. I just always thought that once I got Elite, everything would add up somehow and I would get rewarded with the balance.

I have to say that the gold option for the cars is pretty sweet!

When you complete the game 100% you get a platinum option instead of gold, sound like you still have more to do!

You'll get those last cars when you:
1 - Smash all 400 yellow gates
2 - Break all 120 Burnout Billboards
3 - Complete all 50 stunt jumps
and I think...
set timed road rule on every road
set showtime road rule on every road
own every road (set both showtime and timed road rules)
