Your burner in the pc is not recognized the blank DVD's.

Do you have a log you can post? See here on where to find it and how to post it - link.

If not post back the make and model of the burner plus the media you are using.

Ok first let's update Nero to 6.6.0.18 - link.

Checking your firmware at Dell's sit (you have the latest btw) showed pages and pages of people having the same problem as you with this drive - here's one that may help you troubleshoot - link and a list of them - link.

Switching media may help though I'd run through the diagnostic in the first link above.
You do have a DVDRW drive btw - it should burn dvd's.

Another thing to try is take those folder that Shrink saved to your hard drive and try ImgBurn to burn the video_ts folder.
Pick 'write files/folders to disc' then click on the folder icon and find and add the video_ts folder for this movie.
Set the burn speed to 8x then click on the icon in the bottom left hand side - a file moving to a disc.

Cool - keep us posted.
After seeing all the threads at Dell's forum I'd make them replace it esp. if it's still under warranty.
