Is like a bicycle with the seat miss'n...its get'n up in my a$$. I have been looking at forums for hours and no love. I have burned Mario Kart to a Memorex DVD+R lightscribe and a Verbatim DVD-R and neither work. I added the backup loader channel to my Wii using the twilight hack and can't get it to work. What am I doing wrong? Xbox liteon no problems but this Wii kicking me.

1) Bad burn
2) Bad source
3) Backup loader not installed properly or not working properly.

I would suggest that you need to find one known working backup game before you even start to troubleshoot this other wise you will never be sure what you are looking at.

Sound good but I am the first in my area. I am hoping to get it to work and then help out my friends. Not sure where to start. I guess it is always a possibility that the ISO I downloaded is crap. Maybe I should try again with another download.

Yes, but if your softmod install is bad you can try DVDs until the cows come home and you won't know what the problem is.

Then, if you have nothing to test with you can burn 10 coasters off of a bad .iso and you still won't know what is wrong.

Maybe one of one of the experienced softmodders can help you further. Those are just the common sense troubleshooting suggestions.

I have backup loader 0.1 installed I guess I need 0.3 right. If so I noticed there is a new cIOS that has to be installed with backup loader 0.3. How do I uninstall the old cIOS so I can install the 2 new apps? assuming this will fix my problem. I just looked I have v3.1 is that a problem?

You need to be on 3.4 first off. Then run the oct. 23rd fix after you get homebrew installed. Then install your WADS. Make sure you have wii gator 0.3. It will all work.

You DO NOT need to be on 3.4 first off. I was on 3.1 and did two friends one was on 3.1 also and the other was on 3.2. When I finally got my head out of you know where it worked great. I downloaded the the newer cIOS and installed it.

Here is how I did it: The Wii must be connected to the network as the cIOS is downloaded through the network (As soon as you enable internet connection to your system you will be prompted to update the system click "No"). Then install the cISO. Once complete go to the Homebrew channel and select the backuploader Gamma 0.3 and select the launch command with a backup in the Wii. If you are still having problems send me a PM with your email address and I will send you the files I used.

You will need to downgrade from 3.4 to 3.3, 3.2 or 3.1. After you downgrade your system use the two sets of files I will send when you PM me. They are marked Wii SD 1 and Wii SD 2.

Click on the Wii menu button (bottom left) from the channel menu and then select the box on the right. Keep clicking the box on the right until you see the version on the top right. Sorry I don't remember the names of the menu's.

Do not do this. 3.4 works perfect on homebrew. Run the oct 23 fix if you are on 3.4

3.4 will work just fine. People that say different don't know what they are talking about. You will need to run the oct 23 fix. Play the zelda game until you can save it. Then copy the hack of your region from the sd card. Make sure it's beta2 and not beta 1. Then load the game and install homebrew.
