when i go in to change country uk is not there is it possible i have installed the wrong patch and if so can i change region to uk

Ok, lets combine this post and your other one.

You downgraded your wii from 3.4 to... you say 2.2 but do you mean 3.2? Because that would make alot more sense. And from the sound of it you changed the region too...

Woo boy...

Ok, well the reason you cant load your original games except through the backup loader is because you've changed the region, so the wii is seeing your PAL games as out-of-region.

The backup loader will happily load import games so they'll still run on there. Do not, I repeat. DO NOT format the wii's system memory or remove the homebrew channel. If you do that then you are stuck unless you can get an original copy of twilight princess from whatever region you changed your wii to, probably US NTSC.

You need to run the region changer again and return it to 3.2e firmware, or any E firmware at least. Then delete the region changer from your SD card and never use it again.

We need a sticky for newbies to NOT mess with the region changer. There's seriously 2-3 people a week who decided to use it and messed something up.

You can run the region changer as many times as you want, though each time you do run a risk of damaging something.

But so long as you set it to the right region this time you'll be fine.

i have changed it back to pal and can now see the games in the left hand corner but the start then go to a black screen
. any ideas please

I can play back up games through launcher but it will not play originals just that black screen is there a way to go back to factory settings as i have the correct region now and 3.2e

Resetting it to a E firmware should have fixed your problem. The only thing I can think of is if the display options are set wrong. But they should have been reset back to PAL TV standards.

it is showing pal and i can get it to read discs but as soon as you play them it crashes and you have to hold on button to restart should i format or not as if that doesnt work i will not be able to play any discs as it currently loads back ups no problem

And when it crashes, is it just a black screen? No error message at all? No sounds in the background?
