Ok, so after finally downgrading my PSP with the use of a Pandoras Battery, I was ecstatic at the wealth of homebrew games and apps that were available. I quickly upgraded to 4.01M33-2, and got the 1.50 kernel addon to play some older homebrew games. I soon found out about running ISOs and CSOs of UMDs, and 'aquired' a few. The first was PataPon (CSO). Worked like a charm. Loved it so much I bought it (support the publishers, that sort of thing). Then there was Exit (ISO). Also worked like a charm. Then I got Lumines (ISO), and Star Soldier (ISO). These do not work. They show in the games list, and when they run, the crash with the common message 'Bla Bla 80020130'. From what I gather, this is a read/write error?
I've googled around, and nothing seems to help. I've checked its a legit MS, I've re-aquired them, formatted the MS (in windows, then on the PSP), I've changed the UMD settings, and tried toggling all the options in the recovery menu. Nothing seems to do the trick.
Any help is greatly appreciated, as I'm really stumped as to why some games would work, and others not.
Thanks, but I just upgraded to 5.00 M33-6. installed the 1.5 kernel and the new POPSloader, and they still don't work. And now my PSX games don't either :(
