i hardmodded my psp slim original battery (works great) but cannot for the life of me get the mms to work. tried rains UL mms maker and keep getting not enough storage support for ipl, without IPL pandora will not boot, continue anyway; and the rest of the mms is created. I only have vista Ultimate computers one 32 bit and the other 64. i am an extreme noob to this. my son got psp for xmas, came in a bundle with afterburner. this year. info i got is
FCC ID:ak8psp2001
IC: 409b-psp2001
Serial # HU206xxxx
battery was psp-s110
came with OFW 3.90 or 3.95 i can't remember, but when i activated network he updated to 5.02 OFW just wondering if thats the problem???
but back to the battery; I lifeted leg 1 on battery PROM chip (instead of cutting trace line 19) put battery in and get green light but black screen. tried searching for hours and days as to how to correct this but to no avail i'm getting nowhere. also tried psp grader 5 and no good to me either.

i'm not completely new to modding just new to the psp thing.and in case anyone was wondering the leg is Completely lifted from footing pad looked under professional microscope.

thanks in advance

any help would be greatly appreciated.

memory stick must be at least 256mb to 2gigs for best compatability.

and try to find a xp computer. if you created with vista, and it doesn't work, it won't work. it's either hit or miss.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

i solved the problem for anyone who wants to know.

i found an xp computer and to no avail it did not make a difference.
I then aquired a 2G mem stick and voila, no problem at all.
flahed up psp and now it's running 5.00 cfw.
so pleased with it now, i was quite skeptical as to whether or not I could mod it,because everything that I researched lead to mine not being moddable.

thanks to those who replied
