i saw dvdfabHD in another thread and downloaded it, i copied the movie and it did the same thing a shrink, e.g. put the files in the folder
this is wat it does, it puts the files in the folder i told it to, but i dont know if theres anymore stepsthan that. heres a picture to illustrate it:

Once the files are copied to your HDD, you then use your dvd player program (windows media player, vlc, power dvd) to play the files from your HDD.

I opened the video_ts folder and right click on the 'VTS_01_1' file. Click on 'open with' and select 'windows media player'. The movie should start right up.

No prob. We all had to start from the beginning somewhere. In the window where you choose windows media player to play the file, on the bottom is a box you can check next to "Always use this program with this file". Anytime you click on that file, WMP will be used to play the file.

rtm27 has given you the advice to get your movies/files to play on your computer using Windows Media Player and also suggested you get the FREE VLC Media Player from off the net or anyone you know who has it on their computer, install it to your com and use that: then you'll have two options to choose from the drop-down box you get when you right click the Video_TS folder or the VTS_01_0.IFO file inside of it. VLC is better than WMP becauseit will open and play almost everything, a good 'back-up' to have at the party at which Windows Media Player refuses to come out and play, and that does happen, believe me.

You can rip your movie to an iso image file and then drag that directly into the open screen of VLC player.
