Of course I am new at AD. I have came here many times before but I have never posted anything.

I just got a wii last week and I want to hack it. Im not looking for someone to do it for me just point me in the right direction.

I just want to be able to play downloaded wii games, Play emulators like N64, Snes, Sega and if Possible GameCube. Maybe even unlock the DVD playback.

I just dont want to break my Wii in the process.

I been looking around and there are so many ways im seeing homebrewinstallers and Twilight hacks and mod chips. I just want to know what is the best way to go.

I learned how to hack my PSP on this sight so I trust it and im not a 100% newb when it comes to this stuff thanks to AD.

If some one could help me out by pointing me in the right direction by telling which thread I need to go to and maybe give me a few pointers I would apperciate it. Thanks

This is the guide you want to follow to play backup wii games. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/735325

And all your classic games can be played via the emulators in the homebrew channel, which will be installed by following that guide. The emulators themselves can be downloaded here http://wiibrew.org/wiki/List_of_homebrew_applications
You can play NES, SNES, GBA, genesis, game gear, and to a lesser extent N64 (the N64 emulator isnt that good)

It all seems pretty simple after looking at the guide the only thing I didnt get was the non secure memory card thing. But ill Figure that out thatnks alot

Doesn't it mean 2gb or less, ie not SDHC?
