If I put an off and on switch for the wiikey 2 should I leave the wiikey 2 on or off during the wii updates (not talking about wiikey 2 firmware, but the Wii itself)?

Also, is it safe to turn off the wiikey 2 with the wii on (meaning red or orange led)?

If you are not 100% sure do not answer the questions.

You really dont need to turn the chip off. No update to date has EVER effected the function of a modchip even in the slightest.

Oh, so I could be causing more trouble then it is worth. But lets say I wanted to install a switch because I am hard headed. Those would be valid questions correct?

Just for the hell of it? Sure, I've seen quite a few modchips with switches installed.

Turning them on and off while the console in in use wont effect the chip either, though I'm not sure what effect it would have if you were playing a game at the time.
