NeroVision 5 Importing of disks?

If I try and import a DVD into Nero, now and then I get a disk that is imported, but nero brakes it up into +-40 clips, and if I add my menus to that and incode or burn then you get a stutter between the clips that was not on the original. Is there any setting where you can specify about the breaking up of a video or am I missing something?
