Hi,

I am a newbie and am looking all over for a fix for my semi-bricked modded ntsc-j wii. I am aware that there are existing threads regarding the subject but I want to start my own since none of the threads I read so far worked.

I have been trying to fix my wii for the past weeks and have never actually found a resolution. Some threads suggest that I burn the iso fix by bushing and run it on my wii. I have already wasted more than 10 DVD-Rs to date and none has worked so far. I would always get a big ? on my screen whenever I pop the DVD into my wii. I don't really understand the other words that were displayed since my wii is in japanese. All I know is that it's still not fixed.

My issue first started after I ran an update from one of the games that I resently bought. I couldn't remember what the game was but if my memory serves me right it could have been the mario and sonic olympic games. Anyway, since I know nothing about wii's being possibly bricked by non-region games until now I opted to update my console. And then much to my surprise, all of my games were no longer recognized. Even when I go to my settings, an opera error would display instead. I am at lost and do not know what else to do to fix it.

Could anyone please lead me to the right direction? I am so frustrated and so worn out. I don't know what to do anymore. Please help!

Hhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Well... You could mod your wii and then the disk from bushing WILL work but you have to have a mod you Could get the homebrew channel and use wannikokos downgrader which would fix it. OR... You can rent a game which contains an update and run the update in your region to bad you cant go into settings or you could format your wii memory. or go to your mod shop and have it repaired by pros... let me know how it goes

Hi mattjjjj0,

My wii is actually modded. Although, I'm not aware what type is installed. All I know is that it's modded since I can play copied games.

I have downloaded the homebrew channel software and burned it onto a DVD-R to install on my wii with no luck. The same effect happens when I pop it into my wii console. I don't know what else can be done to my console since none of the fixes mentioned has worked so far.

Thanks for the reply.
