AV sync is off when i convert from avi to mp4

the audio is off when i convert to mp4 from avi using xilisoft and super. The avi has perfect audio sync but when i convert to mp4 the audio is way off. CAn i get some help here!

Defrag you hard drive, get rid of any malware/spyware on your computer, shut off any unecessary running processes, reboot, and try again.

But i don't think it is that, i will try that but it seems to only be this one movie that has no audio in the begging but other ones that have audio in the beginning work just fine.

Often, avi files containing VBR mp3 can cause this problem.
You haven't yet defined the audio in question.
What is it?

umm i dont know how do i find out? and if i did have vbr what could i do to fix it?

And i think i found a fix! hand brake does the job but i would like to do super if i could since it has more options.

And i have decided to convert to xvid because that is what it finnaly worked on!

You said you had an AVI file-which means it was an Xvid or Divx encoded video to begin with. Why convert again to Xvid?
