I have a 1.02GB .avi movie file that AVICodec 1.2_b110 defines as being
Video: 755 MB, 1133Kbps, 25.0fps, 704*288[2.44:1], XVID=XVID Mpeg-4, (supported)
Audio: 298MB, 448Kbps, 48,000Hz, 5 Channels, 0*2000= AC3 DVM (supported)
I have all the codecs necessary DivX 7,AC3filter 1.11...plus)

I used DVD Flick to convert this 1.02.avi into a 1.66GB DVD and now have two folders, one is Audio_TS which is empty but they always are so no prob there, the other folder is Video_TS and contains 6 files:
VIDEO_ TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VTS_01.0.BUP, VTS_01.0.IFO and VTS_01_1.VOB AND VTS_01.2.VOB

The Vobs are 1,048,544KB and 653,170KB respectively.
AVICodec info on the Video_TS folder is as follows:

VTS_01_1.VOB: 800MB, 1950Kbps, 25fps, 720*576(4:3), MPG2=MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD) supported.
Audio: 183MB, 448Kbps, 48,000Hz, 5 Channels, 0x2000=AC3 DVM (0x80) supported

VTS_01_2.VOB: 498MB, 1950Kbps, 25fps, 720*576(4:3), MPG2=MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD) supported.
Audio: 114MB, 448Kbps, 48,000Hz, 5 Channels, 0x2000=AC3 DVM (0x80) supported

If I create a DVD Disc from the above VIDEO_TS files will it play in a stand alone DVD machine? Should do, never had a prob before but I never used Flick before.
Initially, when I attempted the .avi to PAL DVD5 conversion,( average Bitrate 5,874Kbit\s) Flick wouldn't do it as it said 11,116Mb HDD disk space was required and there was not enough space available, so I changed the Target size to CD-800MB and did the conversion. I haven't created a CD from the DVD VTS folders yet. I may send it to DVD-R (DVD5). However I may just free up space on HDD and create the 11,116Mb Giant. Where the hell is that file size coming from?? A 1.2GB .avi becomes an 11.116GB GIANT?????that won't fit onto a DVD5 or a DL DVD9 ! Anyone know of a one-piece 3 sided disc??

Advice please. While I create some HDD space.....

Hey gbroman,
As you already have the files ready try using Shrink to make them a reasonable size to put onto a DVD - DVD5 should be fine but you may lose some quality. May be worth putting half the episodes on one disk and half on another?
You can get Shrink here on this lovely site, and burn with Imgburn if you have no other burning software, also available on this site.
If you have no space on your HDD for this - perhaps convert them one at a time and then Shrink when you have finished each one, so you can then delete the original. You may have to juggle them around a bit??
