I have Utorrent, klitecodec, and WinRar. i convert them (xvid dvdrips) into avi files.I have downloaded two files that won't play on my Phillips DivX player.Other files I download from the bittorrent site will play but not these. They're xvid of a dvdrip files. they'll play on my computer but not my dvd player. any advice, tips or comments?
The advice is use a tool such as Gspot to look at the file attributes.
Video and audio codecs, bit-rate, resolution, etc,etc.
You may find some differences between those that play and those that
don't.
Secondly, a tool such as Mpeg4 modifier, http://moitah.net/ will reveal attributes that most standalone players will not play,
such as GMC.
i DL'd G-Spot and not really sure what to look for. why do some vxid files work and others don't? is there something I can download that will just work in the background so that I don't really have to do anything? I am still learning how to do all this stuff, converting files, divx/xvid, into avi. files. i don't have any problems with stuff from tvtorrents, but once in a while I will run into a snag from this other bittorrent site. how do I use gspot or that mp4 thing? once I find a problem how do I fix it?
