Need help flashing ms28 without VIA sata card

Hey ppl i just opened my xbox completely and my computer has 2 sata ports sata 1(black) and sata2(white) so probably i need to connect to sata 1 right? i need help flashing it any help plz? i dont hav a VIA VT sata card and i dont want to buy one is it possible to do without it plz help me flash my ms28 thanx a lot guys hope i get replys

It is, but not all motherboard built-in SATAs will work. I have an Nforce 590/570/550 mobo SATA which works great. Check out what type you have.

Also, what you need to do is go into BIOS and set your SATA to use IDE mode instead of RAID. Save and reboot. Follow the tutorials exactly, check out youtube, and you'll be ok.

you dont sound very experienced in the field, if you dont know what you are doing you can really mess things up, i would suggest spending the 13$ on the via card.

or maybe u can look around for someone local in ur area to do it. i have seen people on craigslist(can i say that here?) offer mod service for 25-100 dollars depending on where u live.

If you're using iprep you must have a VIA chip set but you can go with DosFlash32 and can do it with the on board SATA. I did mine because I wanted to learn and the guy that used to hook me and my friends up was moved away. I recommend using DosFlash32. The process goes fairly smooth. Try it and if you still have issues PM me and I will assist.

I can't stand people that charge for flashing. I do on average 2 a week and have never charged a dime.

Cant go wrong with the old mtkflash dos method either with the same 10$ via chip. After making the mtkflash boot disk its almost imposible to brick your drive. Takes about 5 min to flash the drive.
