Problems With Burning In Imgburn, Please Help.

About 6 months ago i used an external Freecom DL Drive to backup xbox 360 games using imgburn no problem atall. I used cheap media as i couldn't afford to purchase Verbatims at the time, and every single burn worked a treat on the benq drive in my 360.

Now i no longer have this External drive and have a DL burner in my laptop which is the 'HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T10N'. It has updated firmware, i am using the exact same disks as last time as i figured if it was working before, then there should not be a problem.

Everytime i try to burn a disk it doesn't even reach 1% after Write LeadIn before it times out and throws out an error about how it couldn't burn the disk.

I know how to use imgburn, and i would appreciate it if people don't tell me to get verbatim disks as this can not be the only solution for the problem as i have used these exact disks before without burning one coaster atall.

Do you think it could be in the internal laptop DL burner which is the problem and can not handle burning the DL media even though the firmware is completely up to date.

Sorry to ramble, just making sure all the information you need is there to help me.

i think you answered your own question ... go back to using an external burner .. im sure you can get one off newegg pretty cheap

Do internal laptop dl burners have a history of doing things like this?
