Ok i have a modded wii and i think it has a chip inside and not homebrew? I have all burned Cd's that i just put in the system and than play them...

Whenever i try to play Sim City creator or MLB superstars it says "an error has occured, please turn off system........"
Any ideas why this is?

Mario Galaxy however works fine.

Also when i try to play NFS Underground, it asks me to update my system....I have V3.1 but when i try to update it gives me a warnig that it could be inoperable.....Is it safe to update??

I would avoid the update.

The burned copies aren't as readable or as system friendly as a genuine disc, errors are common. I would also try burning the ISO's at slower speeds. Don't know nor suspect if it has anything to do with the version you have though.

If you launch your backup games from the disk channel and dont have any homebrew installed then you have a modchip.

So long as the game is from the same region as your wii its perfectly safe to let it update.

If its not from the same region then you should brickblocker to keep it from updating. You can also use brickblocker to prevent the update even if its from your wii's home region, but if it requires a later firmware than you wii has the game may not work.
