I have a question which i have not seen anwsered before ..

U hear about peopel Bricking there wii due to twillight hack..
ANyway i was wondering is the bricking due to peopel fault by not doing it correctly or just by bad luck that the wii somehow just gets brick ?

ist pure bad luck or ist done by not following the guides ?

I have now done 2 Softmods and have not bricked any wii i followed the guide from a to z and things turned out great .. However my friend asked me to do it but wants to have a gurantee and i wont give any gurantee if its random bad luck that wii gets bricked ..

So any comfirmation about it will be great :-)

Thanks

I've never heard of anyone bricking their wii just from using the twilight hack, homebrew channel or wiigator.

Far more often you hear about people bricking from having used the region changer or firmware downgrader. Horror stories involving those programs are common.

I use the downgrader from 3.4E to 3.2E ..
and i wonder the brick thing u mention happends for peopel are it due to they pick the wrong Region of downgrading ? like if they have a pal and they downgrade with a Ntsc firmware ?

You need to be on the most current firware 3.4E first off. Then make sure you play or download games in your own region and you'll be fine or use brickblocker

thanks Iceman ...
i knew that already but my concern was not about the games but more of the downgrader issuc ... Wheter or not a Bricked wii is caused by the software OR the user doing/using it wrong , such as downgrading a wii pal with a Nstc firmware..

I wanna be sure that if things are done from the letter a -z the there will be no risk of bricking ...

I have modded 3 wii's this week. No issues. Stick to my plan and you'll be fine.

You dont actually have to use the downgrader to softmod the wii. You can mod it on 3.4 just fine.

I think where people get confused is when you have to use the ios downgrader.

I just brought it up because he said he was downgrading it to 3.2. He obviously knows what he's doing if he's successfully done it before, but since it is likely the riskiest step I just felt I'd say it was unnecessary to do.

This is the same thing I have been trying to discuss with Larry. People should be on 3.4 in my book. Games are going to be released with 3.4 and they won't be able to play them. He said some truncha signed games won't work. Mine seem to just fine.

I always thought that i had to downgrade to 3.2E when i was on 3.4 .. I personally had a few games that would not play on 3.4E and would after downgrading to 3.2E.

However for future games its always possibel to remove the updates 3.4 with WiU.1.0 so that i do not fear :) ...

The question for me was that ... When a wii gets bricked ist due to the downgrading (the wii simply wont accept it) or because the person doing the downgrading has done it wrong ?

Usually during the firmware downgrade or region change and the someone updates again from there from what I have read. I have modded 3 wii's with no issue.
