Why don't you tell us what problem you are experiencing so maybe we can make constructive suggestions?

I have connected the digital signal from my cable to RF IN connection. The scart cable is connected to the tv connection of the ex5000. I have it plugged in. Then I have the cable provided linked to the Laptop and the EX5000. I have downloaded the software and the abbreviation for download appears on the EX5000. When the download is finished, a message on the laptop says download successful. I then followed the instructions and checked the symbol rate for chorus my cable company. This did not work. I then checked the other listed symbol rates and the same response came up - No Transponder To Scan. When the scan is finished no channels appear. The quality level at the bottom of the screen is 8%. When checking the 770 channels, numbers between 150 and 300 are of high quality (up around 90%) but the rest are very poor quality. What am I doing wrong or what is wrong. Please help.

Are you sure the cable is providing a signal? Have you a subscription with the cable company or have you recently moved in to where you are ?

Do you have a box from the cable company and if so does this pick up any channels ?

My cable company is Chorus NTL. I have a box with them for the past two and a half years. I have never had a problem picking up any of their channels. A friend of mine about a 1/2 to 1 mile away has this eurovox Ex 5000 and his is working perfectly. He tried to install mine after I had tried, with no joy. I am living just outside Limerick city where the cable connection should be strong.

I am just trying to establish that the signal is coming into the house, are you getting channels on your cc box now ?

Also did you try taking your box to your friends house and seeing if it works there ?

If it is ch***S MMDS, you`ll need a DVB-T box. ie. The B0X - T or the Digivox - T etc.

Your supplier might take the box back, if it is new, or somebody on here might swap with you if they have a box - t they don't need?

They could pm you details etc.
