I burn almost exclusively on Verb DLs but since I'm finding it harder to get MIS DLs at big box stores in Toronto I'm curious what kind of results people have gotten with the MII on a Benq 1650 or a 1655. I have both - plus a spare 1655 still in the box - and I have a 20pk of MII lying around that I can't return. I have about 13 MIS left, 10 Fuji DLs that have generally burned fine, and about 15 Ritek that I bought a couple of yrs ago.

I seen posts of people who have nothing but problems with MIIs but have also seen posts where people have had low or no issues. With no official Benq firmware updates ever coming for these drives I'm curious as to know how MIIs have fared on Benq's.

unlord - Just picked 2x cake boxes of 15-pack Verbatim DL from my local Futureshop for 19.99. BTW they are MIS. Burned 10 or so flawlessly with my BenQ 1640.

Those benq's should burn anything you throw at them. I'm still on the older 2.4x MIS verbs,but can't find them in my house, LOL!

Do you have Qsuite 2.0 or higher?

I tried all my links and also googled it and all sites referring to benq downloads are dead, RIP!!

Anywho, Qsuite has solid burn and suppose to learn your newer media and help burn it properly after a few burns.

Yup, I've got Qsuite. 2 of my Benqs were retail boxes so it came with all of the relevant software. I was curious about how well they handled the MII since the quality of those discs seemed to range from fine to crap.

@Yazz
Yeah I hit that same sale and managed to score a couple of the MIS but the FS I went also had the MII. Anyway, I won't be needing to touch the 20pk of MII anytime soon now that I've reloaded.

Managed to find Qsuite on Benq's UK site should anyone need it.
